  18. Launchpad 95 lets you launch applications at the click of a button.
  19.  
  20. The object menu of the objects in the Launchpad can be accessed
  21. by right clicking on the button representing the object.
  22.  
  23. PROPERTIES:

  27. Select Properties option from the Launchpad object menu to display 
  28. the properties dialog box. 
  29.  
  30. Object Association:
  31.  
  32. The properties dialog box displays all the folders on the desktop 
  33. including the subfolders within these folders as a treeview. Select
  34. a folder or subfolder to associate with the launchpad. When
  35. you close the dialog box the launchpad would display all the 
  36. objects within the associated folder in the launchpad.

  38. Alignment:
  39.  
  40. Launchpad can be aligned on any one of the four sides of the desktop.
  41. The launchpad can be aligned either by selecting the side
  42. from the object menu or selecting the side in the properties
  43. dialog box. 
  44.  
  45. No. of Rows and Cols:
  46.  
  47. The No. of rows attribute in the Properties dialog box applies
  48. only if the launchpad is either top or bottom aligned. 
  49.  
  50. The No. of columns attribute in the Properties dialog box applies
  51. only if the launchpad is either left or right aligned. 
  52.  
  53. The No. of rows and No. of columns attribute is used only
  54. as an approximation. Other factors which effect the placement of
  55. buttons other than these attributes are
  56.     The number of buttons, 
  57.     The size of the buttons and
  58.     The size of the launchpad itself.

  60. Autohide Attribute:
  61.  
  62. The autohide attribute has not been implemented yet. This feature
  63. will be enabled in the future.

  66. TOOLTIPS:
  67. =========
  68. The Long Name of an object in the Launchpad is displayed as a tooltip.
  69. To view the tooltip of an object click on the launchpad to make it 
  70. active and move the mouse pointer on to the button representing the 
  71. object.

  73. Tooltips provide an easy mechanism to find otu what button represents
  74. what object until you are familiar with the icons in the buttons.

  76. Another way to get to know the buttons is to have the Name displayed
  77. in the buttons. But this may result in occupying a significant portion
  78. of the desktop depending on the number of buttons in the Launchpad.

  80. FEATURES TO BE ADDED IN THE NEXT VERSION:

  82.     The next version is in the works now. Some of the features you may
  83.     see in the next version are:
  84.     * Your suggestions 
  85.     * Drag and drop support
  86.     * Start Menu Button of the Windows 95 Task Bar
  87.     * Active Windows List
  88.     * Active process list with Process control - terminate etc.
  89.     * Ability to explore folders in the launchpad either as menus 
  90.       or as list views/icon views easily.
